This year's 2015 NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill would be the first for Kyle Keenan with Speedtrixx Motorsports. Kyle joined Will Hunholz, Chris Porritt, and Robin Shute aboard the #18 Speedtrixx Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Car.
After qualifying 12th, the Speedtrixx team wasted no time putting the car into the Top 6 in just 3 hours. As the rain fell and the sun rose, Speedtrixx sat comfortably in 3rd place, easing into a relaxed pace saving the car for the finish.
With just under 3 hours remaining, an on-track incident caused damage to the Speedtrixx Porsche. After just over an hour in the pits, the car was back on track, with a Top 5 in the ES class still in sight.
"I am so thankful to Will Hunholz and the entire Speedtrixx Motorsports team for their hard work. We experienced a variety of issues that would've taken teams out, and the Speedtrixx team handled them flawlessly. It gives a driver incredible confidence to be able to represent a team that truly has your back 100%." -Kyle Keenan
"I'm very satisfied with my driving, I was very quick on old tires and the car handled fantastic throughout the duration of the race. Coupled with incredible pit stops by the Speedtrixx team, and the monster effort by fellow co-drivers Will Hunholz, Robin Shute, and Chris Porritt, I'm super satisfied with our results." -Kyle Keenan
