May 4th & 5th SCCA Double Regional at PIR

What can I say, our Team KBR/KKRProducts.com Spec Miata was awesome this weekend. Not only did we qualify on the pole in STU and win both races, we also qualified on the pole in Spec Miata, led half the laps, and finished 2nd both races.

We've proven ourselves to be contenders even though we're down on power to the rest of the field. Goal is to work out several bugs before our next race; The SCCA Rose Cup Races, June 14-16th.

Here's the on-board video from Sunday's Spec Miata race:

I want to take a moment to thank Robert Linse and his Step-dad Shawn for their help this weekend. Their support was incredible, and Robert and I were able to work together to qualify at the front of the pack.

Also a huge thanks to my good friend Pete for coming out to fill in for my dad on Saturday.

Huge thanks as always to my Dad and Step-mom Jan, little brother Shane Keenan, My mom Sheila, and my girlfriend Dani.

Thanks to our parketing partners for this season! Where2Race.com, SBOX Engineering, Top Gear Hobbies, R.E. Wilson Properties, KKRProducts.com, Team KBR, and DBB.

2013 Update

Team KBR's Kia Rio B-Spec and Spec Miata Race Cars

Even though I have not raced yet this year, I've spent a lot of time on track both driving and as an instructor for Cascade Sports Car Club. A week ago I competed alongside my friend Tristan Kramer, as we decided to attend an SCCA Auto Cross driving our street cars. We both had a great time, both winning our classes.

The #44 Team KBR/KKRProducts.com Spec Miata has felt incredible this year, and next weekend will be my first race weekend in that car for the year. With the help of BSI Racing, The Race Shop, and McFall Performance Engineering, we've got a great setup on the car that works great in almost all conditions on any tire.

Between working full-time for my businesses, I've also been working part-time for Top Gear Hobbies in Clackamas, Oregon. It's a great way to spend a day doing something I really enjoy, while getting out of my shop and office and still being productive.

Team KBR has added a third car to the stable, owned and driven by Ron Wilson. He's a newer racer but has joined Team KBR for car prep, trackside support, and coaching.

I'm so thankful for our 2013 Marketing Partners, as well as the incredible support my friends and family give me!
